Android is an operating system that was designed only for the purpose of Mobile Device so that all the functions and applications of the phone can be run easily within it. Whatever you see in the phone’s display all are part of the operating system. Whenever you get a call, text message or email, your OS processes it and presents it to you in readable format to understand easily. Evolution of Android OS- Travel from Android Beta to Android 11

I think all of you must be using Android Phones, or even using Tablets which use Android Operating System. Let me tell you that Android was developed by Google and Open Handset Alliance. After that Android has been releasing its brand new versions since November 2007. One interesting thing is that Android Versions is given a special code name and is released in alphabetic order. This work is being done since April 2009. It has different names such as Cupcake, Donut, Éclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice cream sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop, Marshmallow, Nougat, Oreo and Pie. Seeing the name, you must have come to know that it is named after desserts from all over the world.

Open Source makes Android More Unique

The biggest competition for Android SmartPhones and Tablets is Apple iPhone and iPad. The biggest difference between these two operating systems is that Android’s OS is Open Source and Free, while Apple’s iOS is completely closed meaning that nothing can be tampered with this OS. For example, in iOS we cannot change the default browser from Safari to Google Chrome.

In Apple, you have many restrictions in these default apps, which makes it a big problem to use them and you cannot even try anything new in it. At the same time, with Android being Open Source, you can use your desired apps in it. The use of these two is very old, here I want to tell you one thing that all this is a matter for personal preference. The rest is up to you what kind of OS you want to use.

By the way, Android is launching its new products and adopting the latest technology, according to this, the future of Android is looking very bright. Recently, Google has already given predictions about its future with strange gadgets like Smart Watch, Google Glass, Google Cars. We hope that Google is even more successful in this historic step and for the help of common people create even better things.
